Our well qualified team of highly motivated, enthusiastic and experienced staff have enjoyed working together as a team for some years and together provide a well balanced programme of learning experiences and fun activities within a carefully planned curriculum which covers fully the seven areas of learning and the statutory levels of care required for children in the early years foundation stage of development. (EYFS)
Children develop and learn in different ways and at different rates and all areas of learning and development are equally important to us and interconnected. Our children are all unique; they are respected and cherished as individuals and therefore receive personalised attention to all of their developmental needs.
We believe in continuity of care for the children entrusted to us and friendly, discreet communication between home and school. We enjoy working in partnership with our parents to provide this. Heather Freemantle and all other key members of staff are therefore present in the nursery at all times during our opening hours. This, we believe, provides the children with the all important feeling of secure continuity and also parents, carers, ongoing schools, and any outside organisation connected to the well being of any child, with convenient access to good communication between us.
Small groups and a high staff/ child ratio: careful planning, observation and monitoring by experienced, caring staff: a programme which combines the opportunity to experience many new learning opportunities and activities within a creative, well structured, safe and caring environment: together these ensure that each child leaves us with maximum confidence in his or her own personal achievements which in turn leads to smooth transition into reception classes. Our children leave us to attend a variety of local schools, with all of whom we maintain a very close working relationship.
It is our policy to include both the inside and outside area in our programme. Therefore our safely enclosed outdoor play and garden area are perfect for the children to enjoy many outdoor (and forest school) activities.
As members of Surrey Early Years Childcare Partnership we are registered to receive Government funding and are therefore inspected by Ofsted. Please find below a link to our OUTSTANDING Ofsted report.
